Canadian auto sector set to ride into the sunset? Don't bet on it

The Pontiac Solstice is one of the hottest items at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, and General Motors is beaming about it like a teenager with his first set of wheels. The zippy two-seat sports car outsold its main rival, the Mazda MX-5, once known as the Miata, by two-to-one in January. Buyers have to wait up to a year to take delivery.
