Yahoo! Finance has some tips and tricks to keep your car costs low. Most of the tips are in regards to lowering your insurance payments. But here's a sure-fire way to offset your gas costs: Focus on reducing your car insurance expense. You can't control the price of gas, but you have many ways to lower your car insurance premium -- often by as much as a few hundred dollars. Having that extra money in your wallet should help ease the pain of pulling up to the pump.
