Chrysler may opt for discounting scheme to get rid of inventory

DaimlerChrysler AG's North American unit Chrysler Group said Thursday it is planning to offer highly discounted employee-level pricing for its 2006 vehicles. The company intends to introduce a new discount program on its cars and trucks in order to clear unsold 2006 models between July and the end of the year.
