Perkins: Gretzky catches a break

Not that it would ever come out this way from Wayne Gretzky himself, but Steve Yzerman and Mario Lemieux did him a great big favour by removing themselves from Olympic candidacy. Whatever else happens between now and Turin, Team Canada just got younger and that's important.
