2006 has been one of the best ever years for the ski industry. There were more than 1.4 million ski area visits. Revenue for the year topped $75 million, almost $10 million up on 2005. The Ski Areas Association says the snow was good right from the start of the season in June, and was topped up through regular storm cycles.© 2006 Newstalk ZB News
