Gallup Says Bush's Post-Election Support Has Collapsed
14th Nov 2006, 06:55 GMT
Gallup's first post-election poll for the USAT finds a similar result that the Newsweek poll found late last week: the bottom has fallen out of the Bush presidency, as his approval rating fell over the weekend to only 33%, with respondents by more than a 2-1 margin saying they want the Democrats to have more influence in the direction of the country than the White House. Furthermore, respondents seem to be hesitant to identify themselves as Republicans.
