NHS being pressured to approve a new breast cancer hope

A new drug for breast cancer that works by shutting off supplies of estrogen has caused cancer establishments in UK to demand from NHS wider access. With the potential to save lives, the drug proven to cut a third of deaths in three international trials is now pending clearance from National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). It is currently selectively available for post surgery use.
