Ruth Cates Baird

Ruth Cates Baird, 85, of Oak Ridge, was most recently a teacher of Bible and literature in the Oak Ridge Institute for Continued Learning (ORICL). She was for 43 years a public school teacher, but she was first and foremost a life-long student. She died at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn., on Jan. 27, 2006.
