From the pages of Family Fun magazine comes a recipe to soothe sore throats this winter—icy, citrus-y frozen cubes. When you child sucks on one, he’ll be getting “a little burst of Vitamin C, and a delicious, soothing, treat.” Sore Throat Soothers 3/4 cup boiling water 1 bag tangerine orange herbal tea (Celestial Seasonings) 1 tbsp honey 1/2 cup orange-tangerine juice Steep tea for 4-6 minutes, discard tea bag, then stir in honey. Combine with juice and pour the mixture into specialty ice cube trays (stars, hearts, etc.) or into regular ice cube trays (filling only 1/3 full to keep cubes small). Makes about 3 trays of small cubes. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments © 2005 Weblogs, Inc.
