(Reuters) - Chrysler CEO Tom LaSorda (C) arrives at the U.S. Capitol to meet with lawmakers in Washington May 18, 2006. LaSorda was joined by William Ford of Ford Motors and Rick Wagoner of General Motors. U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert told the chief executives of Detroit's Big Three automakers on Thursday that government can work with industry on fuel efficiency and other issues facing the companies. Appearing with the auto executives before a closed-door meeting, Hastert promised nothing specific but said it was time to look at 'the new age of flexible fuel and hybrid autos.'
