Spanish GDP rose by 3.8% y/y in the third quarter of 2006 - as Moody's Economy.com and consensus estimates exactly hit the nail on the head. The year-on-year growth rate, of 3.8%, amounts to its fastest growth since late 2001. From a quarter-on-quarter perspective, Spanish GDP growth remained at 0.9%, as it has been throughout 2006.
