(SH) - "All I wanted to do was play basketball," Paul Barnett recalls of joining a Columbus, Ohio, Marine Corps Reserve unit in the spring of 1950. A three-sport athlete and North High School graduate, he had been the Marine Reserve company in Columbus had a stellar group of round-ball players. Barnett, now a resident of Powell, Ohio, had no idea that signing up would earn him a ticket to Korea.
