Sir Paul McCartney sings Into Space Sir Paul McCartney's rendition of the Beatles' song Good Day Sunshine is to be beamed to the international space station crew. McCartney is the first musician to broadcast live music to an audience in space reports BBC News A link-up from his concert in Anaheim, Calif. on Nov. 13 will see the former member of Forbes' Celebrity 100 member play to the astronauts reports Forbes.com. Sir Paul said on his official Web site that he wanted to the broadcast the song after NASA used it to wake the crew of the Space Shuttle Discovery--something which had made him "extremely proud." "In our concert we hope to repay the favor," he said. Sir Paul will also play recent solo track English Tea. The performance will mark the 44th day in space for the two space station crew members, who are in the middle of a six-month flight. Sir Paul's performance will be a special wake-up call for the station's two crew members, Nasa astronaut Bill McArthur and Russian cosmonaut Valery Tokarev. The pair will be 220 miles above Earth.
