She died of cancer October 23, in Munich. Ed Bradley (1941-2006) - Correspondent for TV's 60 Minutes; according to the IMDb, he appeared in Russkies. He died of leukemia Thursday, in New York City. Diana Coupland (1932-2006) - British comedic actress who appeared in The Millionairess, The Family Way, Charlie Bubbles, Another Life and a ton of television series. She also provided the singing voice of Lana Turner in Betrayed and of Ursula Andress in Dr. No. She died after heart surgery Friday, in Coventry, England. Sid Davis (1916-2006) - Producer and director who made more than 180 short cautionary films shown in classrooms, including The Dangerous Stranger, Boys Beware, Alcohol is Dynamite and The Bottle and the Throttle. He died of lung cancer October 16, in Palm Desert, California. Belinda Emmett (1974-2006) - Australian actress who appeared in The Nugget with Eric Bana. She died of breast cancer Friday, in Sydney. Pamela Lavaf (c.1952-2006) - Assistant director on Shade. She died October 12, in Los Angeles. Marian Marsh (1913-2006) - Actress who appeared in Hell's Angels, The Road to Singapore and von Sternberg's Crime and Punishment. She died Thursday, in Palm Desert, California. Jack Palance (1919-2006) - Read Monika's full obit post. Basil Poledouris (1945-2006) - Composer who scored Starship Troopers, Conan the Barbarian, Red Dawn, RoboCop (soundtrack pictured), The Hunt for Red October and Free Willy. He died of cancer Wednesday, in Los Angeles. Marie Selland (1927-2006) - Actress who appeared in the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Without Evidence. She was the first wife of director Sam Peckinpah. She died from complications following heart surgery October 28. Francis Speed (1918-2006) - Ethnographic filmmaker who made films documenting arts and culture in Nigeria, including the medical short subject Were Ni: He is a Madman and the anthropological study Benin Kingship. He died September 16. Richard St. Johns (1929-2006) - Executive producer of The Wanderers, The Final Countdown, Nightwing and Fire and Ice. He died October 28. Helen van Dongen (1909-2006) - One of the pioneers of documentary editing who worked with Joris Ivens on a number of films, including This Spanish Earth, and with Robert J. Flaherty on Louisiana Story, for which she was also an associate producer. She was also the cinematographer for Ivens' New Earth. She died September 28, in Brattleboro, Vermont.
