Centocor: FDA Approves Remicade(R) as First and Only Biologic to Treat Ulcerative Colitis

HORSHAM, PA (MARKET WIRE) Centocor, Inc. announced today that REMICADE(R) (infliximab) has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC), making REMICADE the first and only biologic approved for UC, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
