Internet Gambling Charges, 27 People and 3 Corporations Indicted

Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown, joined by Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly, today announced the indictment of twenty-seven individuals and three corporations on charges of unlawfully operating a highly sophisticated online gambling operation in Queens County and elsewhere in the world that booked more than $3.3 billion in wagers over a 28-month period on a wide variety of sporting events – ranging from horse-racing, football, baseball, basketball and hockey to NASCAR, PGA golf and professional tennis, among others. read more
