User-created innovation within robotics

By nikolaj While in Israel last week I met with Limor Schweitzer of RoboSavvy. Limor demoed the amazing KHR-1, a robot built from kits sold by Kondo Kagaku, a Japanese maker of digital servos which suddenly out of chance found itself at the center of attention of underground Japanese robot hackers (full story here). We hope to will have - but have yet to confirm - Limor at our CustomerMade conference in Copenhagen two weeks forward. Limor should be able to give Soeren Lund of Lego Mindstorms NXT a real run for the trophy of user-created innovation in the field of robotics that Soeren and Lego have held since Wired's February Mindstorms piece.
