Out of the Massachusetts windows goes MS Office in comes Open Source software

The state of Massachusetts is all set to tread down the same path as several European cities in opting out of Microsoft Office products and turning towards open source software solutions. A move that is likely to result in fare more serious ramifications for the biggie software company, the state has suggested that its employees should switch to open source software for all state documents from early 2007.
