Prize-Winning Red Sox Bid for a Big Off-Season

The Boston Red Sox submitted the highest bid, about $45 million, among the approximately eight suitors in the Great Daisuke Matsuzaka Sweepstakes and will get a 30-day window to negotiate a contract with the Japanese pitcher.
