(AP) - A Kashmiri mother, unseen, comforts her son who was injured by the Oct. 8, earth quake, Thursday, Nov 3, 2005 at a local hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. The United States promised Pakistan in the long term to help rebuild the quake shattered areas as the official death toll jumped by 16,000 to 73,000 and officials warned it was likely to rise further in the cold months ahead.
