While Meredith plays cat and mouse with Derek on Grey's Anatomy, Ellen Pompeo has found her life partner. According to Us Weekly, the actress became engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Chris Ivery, on Friday. Funny enough, one of my tipsters saw Chris leaving the Pacific Design Center on Friday afternoon. "He had a huge smile on his face," says my spy, "and I was thinking: Hey -- that's Ellen Pompeo's BF. I wonder what he's smiling about. No joke." Hilarious. The couple, who have been dating for nearly three years, met in an L.A. grocery store. They learned that they grew up 10 miles apart in Boston and started dating soon after. "I had to go 3,000 miles away to meet a guy who practically grew up next door," she told the mag. "But I guess everything comes full circle."
