Sharp focus on region

Sharp wants to more than double sales in the Middle East and Africa to $500m within three years, Gulf News quoted its Mideast MD as saying. Regional sales currently only account for 5% of the Japanese electronics manufacturer's total exports. It plans to increase this to 7% in 2006 and 10% in 2010. [AMEInfo.com]
