Chinese monks to retrace 1,300-year trail to India

Beijing, Jan 18 Four Chinese Buddhist priests hope to retrace the journey to India undertaken over 1,300 years ago by a monk who studied in a monastery in Nalanda in eastern India. Shi Xuecheng, vice-chairperson of China's Buddhism Association, told reporters here that the four monks would be selected from the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
