Japan court split on suits by ex-leprosy patients (Reuters)

Reuters - Former Taiwanese leprosy patients incarcerated during Japanese colonial rule won a suit seeking compensation from Japan on Tuesday as a Tokyo court rejected the government's claim that a law on the issue did not apply to its former colonies.
