Suicide Bombings in Baghdad Kill at Least 120

At least nine car bombs explode in Baghdad Wednesday morning killing more than 120, and injuring hundreds. Iraq's arm of al Qaeda said in a statement that it was waging a nationwide suicide bombing campaign to avenge a joint U.S.-Iraqi military offensive against a rebel stronghold in the north of the country.
