New Treatment for Ischemic Stroke on the Horizon

The launch of a clinical trial is raising hope that there will soon be a new treatment for ischemic stroke that may double the window of opportunity for treatment and possibly reduce the hemorrhagic risk associated with tissue plasminogen activator, currently the only FDA-approved medication for stroke.
