INSEE puts Lebanon's 2002 GDP at $18.6 bln

A leading national French statistics institute estimated Lebanon's GDP in 2002 at $18.6 billion, slightly higher than earlier estimates. The new figures were disclosed by Institut National de la Statistique et de Etudes (INSEE) during the opening of the National Accounting for 1997-2002 conference that was attended by Premier Fouad Siniora.
