(AFP/File) - Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors Ben Bernanke, who President George W. Bush recently nominated to replace Alan Greenspan as chairman of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Open Market Committee was expected to boost the federal funds rate by 25 basis points to 4.0 percent, sticking to Greenspan's policy of gradual rate hikes(AFP/File/Mandel Ngan)
