Stocks up as oil drops, McDonald's rises (Reuters)

Reuters - U.S. stocks rose for the second straight day on Wednesday, helped by a brokerage upgrade of restaurant chain McDonald's Corp. and a sharp drop in energy prices as oil operations slowly recovered from the effects of Hurricane Katrina.
