SHARES in 'zombie' insurer Resolution soared to an all-time high yesterday after bosses said they were in takeover talks. The five per cent jump values the company at a monster £4.5billion. Resolution, which has already bought up seven million policies from closed funds such as Royal & Sun Alliance, Alba Life and Britannic, said it was in discussions with various parties about "acquisitions, business combinations or a possible offer for the company".
