Not long ago, a Michigan grocer called Albie's Foods received a threatening letter from Smucker's, the New York Stock Exchange peanut butter and jelly biggie. Hostile takeover offer? Nothing quite so glamorous. Smucker's accused Albie's of violating its 1999 patent on ''sealed crustless sandwiches.'' (INSIDER Edition subscribers only)
