Intevac up stock up after earnings beat Street view

NEW YORK (AP) - Intevac Inc. stock rose Tuesday in the first day of trading after the maker of electronics manufacturing gear posted third-quarter earnings and projected 2006 revenue that exceeded the average Wall Street expectation. Shares of Intevac rose $2.11, or 23 percent, to $11.25 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Earlier, the stock rose as high as $11.90, still below the 52-week high of $15 set Aug. 11.
