As Blocksma explains about herself and her new blog, "At 64 and ever impatient, I have developed quite a toolbox–or, to use another metaphor, bag of tricks–for dealing with life's challenges alone. A trained and experienced librarian, I can often track down what I lack. I think of myself as a magician who, after years of practice, has developed some pretty good tricks, all of which I play on myself and most of which can be learned."
