Empowering your customer base

One of the biggest tenets of blogs and their evangalists is the idea of creating and empowering the citizenry. Not only is this true of journalism but also in terms of brand-awareness and reputation management. Hacking Netflix and Tracking Trader Joes are two examples of blogs written not by the company but by users who feel this is the niche they feel they can speak to. That being said there are two blog posts I wanted to highlight that deal with just that. Both have graphs showing how marketing and communication use to be run and how they should be run in a Web 2.0 world. The first is from the Creating Passionate Users blog and shows the best way to allocate budget dollars. The second is from Steve Rubel and gets into more detail on the difference between creating customer evangalists and creating blog evangalists. Both are worthy of printing out and they're going up beside this one on Neo Marketing on my cublicle wall. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
