Supreme Court refuses to vacate stay for second Tennessee execution

NASHVILLE, Tennessee - The planned execution of Paul Reid was called off Wednesday night after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a bid to vacate a stay for his execution. If the stay had been vacated, Reid would have been the second man to be executed on Wednesday by lethal injection.
