An invisible eclipse passed over old Scarborough this week with the death of Ken Morrish, 87, scion of one of the township's pioneer families, who amassed a fortune as a developer and later a politician while playing a lead role in transforming the once-rustic borderlands into a city of 600,000 and a vital part of Metro Toronto.
