Dolphin Rescued After Hurricane Rita Displaced Him

Filed under: Media, Flora & Fauna, Experts With all the talk about dolphins being released during Hurricane Katrina (both the kind, gentle dolphins, and the dolphins armed to the teeth), we overlooked one dolphin who got waylaid during Rita. Storm surge had stranded the animal in a ditch filled with water near the Texas-Louisiana border. A local news crew tried to free the dolphin, but was unsuccessful.
