HONG KONG (Reuters) - The prospect of rising interest rates and higher volatility in stock markets point to a pick-up in convertible bond issuance in Asia in 2006 after a decline this year, investment bankers and analysts said. Indian corporates are also set to represent a bigger chunk of Asian convertible bond issuers as they seek funds for expansion. Girish Kumar, Pacific Rim head of high yield convertible bond research at Merrill Lynch, said volatility in equity markets was now rising across the board.
