A recent study reports that women tend to handle their heart disease better than men do. However, this is not necessarily a good thing. In a survey, women were asked to rate their heart disease according to how severe they consider it, and how much it encumbers their lives. Women, regardless of the severity of their heart disease, reported that their heart troubles were mild to moderate. The heart problems just really didn't seem to register as much of a problem for women, even though they may have had identical troubles and medicine regimes to their male counterparts (who reported having severe problems). However, the downside to stoicism is this: If you do not perceive or acknowledge that you have a severe problem, you may be less likely to seek medical attention for it than if you regarded it more seriously.
