Computer animation may dominate the film industry, but Oscar-nominated animator Bill Plympton still believes in doing things the old-fashioned way." When I watch an animated film, I like the sense of knowing it was created by hand," he said Wednesday evening at Hotel Brunswick on Queen Street. " I love Pixar films; they're good stuff. But computer animation tries to be too real. I like the idea that I'm watching a drawing; the artistic feel stays intact."
