(Reuters) - Some 1,000 demonstrators block a railway connecting Turin in northern Italy with the French city of Lyon, causing transport disruption as they protest against a planned high-speed rail link through the northern Italian region of Val de Souza October 31, 2005. The demonstrations, near Turin, host of the 2006 Winter Olympics, were focused on the environmental impact of the new service and prompted the cancellation of 15 trains and the delay of another six, said a spokesman for rail company Trenitalia.
