Sierra Club plans to boost visibility, outreach to public

SAN FRANCISCO, Sep. 11 (UNION-TRIBUNE): The Sierra Club's T-shirts may still feature a hiker in the mountains, but hundreds of club leaders from around the country made it clear yesterday that getting people outdoors – an organizational pillar since 1892 – no longer is a top priority.
