Leading article: Treat with contempt the idea that Britain has been too liberal

Tomorrow, it will be one month since the devastating attacks on the London transport system. Despite this week's hectoring message from Ayman al-Zawahiri, claiming that the attack was a response to the invasion of Iraq, no evidence has yet emerged to suggest there was direct involvement from al-Qa'ida in either the July 7 bombings or the attempted bombings two weeks later.
