Reuters has an interesting article about how cellphones are going to be cost-reduced to death to cost only $15 to manufacture. It mentions names like Infineon among the chip companies who are going to integrate the hell out of all mobile phones functions. One has to understand how the cost-reduction works to see if this benefits the consumers or the handset manufacturers. In this case, I think that neither will get anything from this cost-reduction…
