Car-spike bollards 'break safety rules'

TRAFFIC chiefs could be forced to ditch Manchester's infamous car-spiking bollards because they are in breach of government safety rules.The 3ft-high metal poles have speared a string of vehicles since they went on trial on a bus lane at St Mary's Gate in the city centre.
