Dual layer DVD media guide

Filed under: Software, DVD Single layer DVD burners are still pretty much the standard, but dual layer drives are slowly picking up and gaining headway. For example, the latest Mac Pros and MacBook Pro models now ship with Dual Layer SuperDrives, allowing you to burn higher capacity DVDs. Being able to burn DVD-9s introduces several new possibilities, and Brian Gary has written up a nice guide to learning the ins and outs of DVD-9 and DVD-5 storage capacities, DVD+/-R, and everything in-between. Similarly, his guide encompasses recommended burn speeds, reliable media brands, and burning DL DVDs in DVD Studio Pro, iDVD, and Toast.
