Fuel tank to do away with some foam
17th Dec 2005, 11:28 GMT
NASA is planning to remove a section of protective foam that broke off last July during the launch of Discovery. The removal of the foam that protected pipes and cables on Discovery's external fuel tank and the testing of the cracks in the foam is likely to delay until the next shuttle flight, which as of now is scheduled for May.
