Andrew Flintoff: England's glory

Seven years ago, when Andrew Flintoff made his debut for the England cricket team against South Africa at Trent Bridge, three senior colleagues took him out to dinner at one of Nottingham's more sophisticated restaurants. "I don't think Andrew was that impressed," one of his dining partners recalled yesterday. "He kept looking at the plates of salad and the dishes with beautifully presented food in tiny proportions. You could see he was thinking: 'When are they going to bring some proper food?'."
