Google launches Gmail mobile; breathes life into email battle

Taking the email battle to another level, search specialist Google has made its email service Gmail available to users on Web-enabled cell phones. The new service optimizes the interface according to the device and allows a user to access documents, pictures, and messages and even make calls to phone numbers stored in Gmail.
