My Secret Geek Desire: Harry Potter on Saturday
1st Nov 2005, 21:44 GMT
Filed under: Animation, OpEd The Goblet of Fire is only a few weeks away, but my excitement (Goblet is my favorite) and the waiting...waiting...waiting..waiting has given me chronic Harry lust. Which makes me wonder, why isn't there a Harry Potter cartoon on Saturday mornings? I remember a time in my youth when everything was turned into a crappy cartoon (The Ghostbusters, Punky Brewster, MC Hammer, New Kids on the Block). So why not Harry? Now, my initial feeling is that it would suck. How could a cartoon compare to the books and the movies? But then I remembered that I felt the same way when they were making the first movie -- how could this ever do the book justice? But it did. They all did. And now I want a Saturday morning cartoon. And I'm not talking about fan fiction. I want a legitimate and Rowling-licensed Saturday morning cartoon. Oh, and a theme park 3D adventure ride where I get to ride around on a broomstick and play Quidditch would be nice too. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
